Betsy Drake is the public-spirited mother and Cary Grant the long-suffering husband. Norman away from her husband, Richard, because he was turning them into snobbish prigs. A British farcical comedy. "SOMETHING IN THE CITY," starring Richard, Hearne, is the feature on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. Ningle, apparently a City man, always punctual and dapper at home, somehow arouses the suspicions of Mr. Holley and his future son-in-law's father, who details one of his reporters to trail Mr. Ningle, and in doing so makes several astounding discoveries. A swashbuckling drama of action and adventure, "THE CRIMSON PIRATE" (Thursday, Friday) stars Burt Lancaster in the title role, supported by Nick Cravat as his faithful mate, and Eva Bartok as the romantic rebel girl who wins his heart. Photographed on location on the Italian island of Ischia, in the Bay of Naples, "The Crimson Pirate" deals with the daring exploits of a buccaneer rogue who forsakes the looting and plunder of his trade to lead a revolt against the oppression of a wicked baron and his henchmen.
