PAVILION, SELSEY. CAPTURING the bright landscape of fantasy and the atmosphere of imperishable youth, "PETER PAN," Walt Disney's current production is an all-animation treatment of J. M. Barrie's famous book. In Technicolor, the famed story of "the boy who would not grow up" enlists the talents of such popular players as Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Hans Conried, Bill Thompson, Heather Angel, Paul Collins, Tommy Luske, Candy Candido and Toni Conway, whose voices lend the Disney personalities vocal cords. "MALTA STORY" is a tribute to the famous George Cross Island of the Mediterranean. Alec Guinness provides the main theme of the film as a Pilot Photographer who meets and falls in love with a young Maltese girl between missions, he gives a performance of outstanding merit. As the girl, Muriel Pavlov proves once more that she is one of the most talented actresses we possess. Anthony Steele and Renee Asherson are seen as the picture's other romantic couple. Jack Hawkins brings off successfully what must have been the most difficult task of his career following up his magnificent portrayal in "The Cruel Sea." As the Air Officer Commanding Malta his powerful study of a man beset by all the headaches of trying to maintain the defences of Malta against constant enemy attack from the air, will win him further laurels.
