PAVILION, SELSEY. SUSAN Hayward, Robert Mitchum, Arthur Kennedy and Arthur Hunnicutt star in "THE LUSTY MEN." The film is primarily a romantic drama and despite its Western setting, there is not a single six-shooter, a posse, or a gunfight in a bar. Robert Mitchum portrays a has-been rodeo star who goes back to the thankless, back-breaking task of ranch work when his luck runs out in the rodeo rings. He meets a young cowboy, Arthur Kennedy, and his wife, Susan Hayward, at the ranch, and when Kennedy expresses a desire to tackle the rodeo circuits, Mitchum goes along as his manager and adviser. One of the truly great sea sagas of the day comes to the screen in "KON-TIKI," real-life adventure report of the fearless expedition of the tiny balsa raft which carried six 20th-Century Vikings the 4,300 nautical miles between Peru and Polynesia. "SCARED STIFF" concerns two cabaret performers, Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, who are determined to protect the interests of a young heiress, Lizabeth Scott, when she is bequeathed an island off the coast of Cuba. International gangsters try to prevent her taking possession of the isle but she persists in claiming her legacy. Dean and Jerry discover the gang are using a castle on the Island as a hiding place for a cache of precious gems. Hilarious chase sequences, complicated by walking zombies and a rare blending of mystery, supernatural music and comedy add to the attractions.
