PAVILION, SELSEY. PRISONER OF WAR." starring Ronald Reagan, Steve Forrest, and Dewey Martin, shows the stark, horrifying truth about Korea. It tells the story of men who displayed fantastic bravery in rebuffing their captors; of men who endured prolonged hardships from cold, hunger and physical ills, of men who defeated every cunning method the enemy could employ to warp their minds, and of men who broke under pressure. "THE INDIAN FIGHTER" is Kirk Douglas's first work as an independent producer. It is a stirring story of wagons travelling westwards during the Indian wars of the 1870's. Starring as Johnny Hawks, nicknamed in the West "Indian Fighter." Kirk Douglas plays a tough man of peace—but a man who fights red and white men alike to bring peace in the West. The two women who vie for Kirk's affections are Diana Douglas and Elsa Martinelli, the top Italian model. She makes her film debut as Onahti, the fiery daughter of an Indian chieftain. Walter Matthau plays the villain of the piece--a no-good whose only desire is to find gold, whatever the cost. Walter Abel portrays the commander of the U.S. Cavalry and fort, who strives to maintain not only peace but justice. Filmed on location in the wilds of Oregon, the film is in Cinema Scope and has a cast of hundreds. The awesome spectacle and savagery of darkest Africa has been captured on film as never before in "SAFARI." with Victor Mature, Janet Leigh, John Justin and Roland Culver in the starring roles Made on location in the heart of the Mau Mau country in Kenya and filmed in Technicolor and CinemaScope the production has all the splendours and primitive pageantry of "King Solomon's Mines." with the thrills of "Mogambo". Victor Mature plays a white hunter who takes charge of the safari of an eccentric British nobleman seeking a rare black-maned lion whose habitat is deep in the Mau Mau country. A woman member of the party is Janet Leigh, former chorine and fiancee of the titled millionaire. When the hunter and the girl fall in love, the desperate safari, already beset by raging beasts and hostile natives, is also torn by internal strife. A story of vice and violence on the assembly lines, " INSIDE DETROIT," starring Dennis O'Keefe and Pat O'Brien, is a drama of America's auto capital, when organized crime tried to take over with a barrage of bombs, beatings, and brutal murders. Dennis O'Keefe is the union leader who heads the city's fight back against the mob, and O'Brien portrays the mobster, a labour racketeer, who emerges from prison and once again tries to impose his lucrative rackets on the plant workers.
