PAVILION, SELSEY. "DON'T BLAME THE STORK" is a British comedy with Veronica Hurst, lan Hunter, Reginald Beckwith, Patricia Laffan, Brenda de Banzie and Harry Fowler. The story concerns Sir George Redway (lan Hunter), a famous Shakespearean actor who finds a baby parked background on his doorstep. In order to secure a part in one of the actor's productions, Katie O'Connor (Veronica Hurst) pretends to be the homeless mother of the child. Sir George takes her also into his house and a series of embarrassing and amusing situations follow. Laurel and Hardy star in "THE SLAPPIEST DAYS OF OUR LIVES" ... Paul Douglas appears in the British comedy "THE MAGGIE." which is set in the picturesque scenery of Scotland. Maggie is one of 50-odd puffer boats which chug among the islands of Western Scotland, but she is destined for the scrapyard unless her skipper can raise money Through a mistake, a valuable cargo is entrusted to the small boat - a cargo which belongs to Calvin B. Marshall, an American business man. When Marshall hears of the error, he flies to Glasgow to put the matter right which is easier said than done. The puffer crew are not going to allow the prize to be snatched from their hands like this.... Although mainly concerned with much sterner matters as he seeks out the murderers of his father and brother, Audie Murphy finds time for romance with attractive Susan Cabot in the Technicolor Western "RIDE CLEAR OF DIABLO." Dan Duryea and Abbe Lane also star.
