PAVILION, SELSEY. THE story of "FATHER'S DOING FINE," starring Richard Attenborough and Heather Thatcher, concerns the scatter-brained and charming family presided over by Essie, Lady Buckering (widowed mother of four young daughters), during a series domestic crises. Although they appear to live in great style they are permanently on the brink of financial disaster, and the situation is further complicated by Dougall, Essie's son-in-law. who harasses everyone while awaiting the arrival of his wife's first baby. Leo Gorcey and the Bowery Boys feature in "NO HOLDS BARRED." one of their most hilarious films to date. When his next contest is arranged a strange discovery is made - Sach's head has lost its power, which has now travelled to his right middle finger. The difficulty of locating this power, and the efforts of a rival syndicate to sign Sach under contract, form the background of a film which has events ranging from the hysterical to the hilarious -in true Bowery fashion. Alastair Sim portrays a harassed head master and Margaret Rutherford is a dominant head mistress in HAPPIEST DAYS OF YOUR LIFE." Fun begins when a girl's school is mistakenly billeted on a boys' college. Chaos and amusement reach their peak when parents, governors, boys, girls and a Ministry of Education representative come face to face to sort out the trouble. "DEVIL GIRL FROM MARS" is a science fiction tale about a ruthless Martian woman who lands in a spaceship in the Highlands and terrorizes the occupants of an isolated inn. Hugh McDermott, Hazel Court and Peter Reynolds head the cast.
