PAVILION, SELSEY. BOB Hope in the Wild West and the situation is already brim full of laughs in those six words. That is the background for "FANCY PANTS,” showing at the Pavilion, Selsey, at the end of next week, in which Bob co-stars with glamorous Lucille Ball. He plays the part of young man named Humphrey, member of a troop of actors whose role always consists of a gentleman's gentleman. Lucille Ball, playing the part of Aggie Floud of New Mexico, manages to have Bob fired from the troop so that he can educate her mother and father who are far from being a lady and gentleman. At the start of the week, Bob Hope’s enemy No. 1, Bing Crosby, stars in a gay musical. "MR MUSIC," with Nancy Olson, Charles Coburn and Ruth Hussey. The film tells the story how a brilliant tune writer (Bing Crosby) is persuaded to start work on a new show. Lilting through the production are nine hit tunes and the appearance of Groucho Marx, Dorothy Kirsten, Peggy Lee and The Merry Macs make it one of the best musicals Crosby has made.
