PAVILION, SELSEY. FAMOUS England cricketers Len Hutton, Denis Compton, Cyril Washbrook, Godfrey Evans and the Bedser twins, were chosen to give the real professional touch to the cricketing scenes in "THE FINAL TEST." The story revolves around the most important days in the life of a famous sportsman, the days on which he is to make his last appearance for his country. Joining his natural nostalgia is also the disappointment he feels because his only son makes no bones about the fact that sport has no place in his life. Jack Warner portrays the famous cricketer, and Robert Morley and Brenda Bruce are also starred. "THE LADY FROM TEXAS " is a Technicolor comedy with a Western setting. Howard Duff, Mona Freeman and Josephine Hull take the principal roles. In "THE HOLLY AND THE IVY," Ralph Richardson is seen as a parson, and Celia Johnson and Margaret Leighton are his two daughters one a home-loving type and the other a good-time girl. At Christmas he throws a family party and as they begin to arrive it becomes obvious that this family Is no different any other—they, too, have their secret likes and dislikes, differences of opinion and hidden resentments. The Vicar, amiable and seemingly vague, is ignorant of their problems. It is with these problems that the picture is chiefly concerned and it shows how on this Christmas Day, their difficulties are overcome and happiness comes to the Vicar and his family. "THREE'S COMPANY" stars Douglas Fairbanks Jnr., Constance Cummings, Basil Sydney, Elizabeth Sellars, George Benson, and Diane Foster, and consists of three dramatic short stories.
