PAVILION, SELSEY. Beautiful red-haired Angie Evans, night club entertainer, gives up her career to marry Ken Conway, songwriter and radio singer. After their child, Angelica, is born, Ken zooms to success as a crooner. His secretary Martha Gray, helps to establish him in society and takes over many of the chores that Ken thinks Angie should be spared. Unwarrantedly feeling that Ken is neglecting her for his pretty and efficient secretary, and even deprived of the care of her own child, Angie starts drinking. The domestic conflagration which these actions ignite may be seen in "A WOMAN DESTROYED." showing on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The life story of Pearl White, queen of the serials, will be told in "THE PERILS OF PAULINE," presented for the remainder of the week. With Betty Hutton in the biographical role, some of the typical serial scenes are re-enacted as a background to the main story of Pearl White's rise to fame and the romance in which she became involved. There will be a full supporting programme.
