"JOURNEY'S END." The Selsey branch of the British Legion presented the well-known war play "Journey's End " (by kind permission of Mr. R. C. Sherriff) at the Pavilion on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in aid of British Legion funds. The play was produced under the direction of Lieut. Col. W. G. Moore and Mr. Sherriff has helped the production considerably by attending some of the rehearsals and giving the performers advice. The performance was excellent and very creditable to the performers, who were: Captain Hardy J. E. Francis; Lieutenant Osborne, E. A. Swindells; Private Mason, C. E. Smith; Lance- Corporal Broughton, W. M. Long; Second Lieutenant Raleigh, E. Barford; Captain Stanhope, Nelson Hoar; Second Lieutenant Trotter, C. E. M. Forrest; Second Lieutenant Hibbert, R. W. Smith; the Company Sergeant Major, F. W. Owens; the Colonel. Captain G. F. Hardy; a German soldier, A Withers; escort, F. Charrett and J. Robinson ; effects. R H. Smith, F. W. Phipps, F. Slough and J. Tupper.
