Military Concert – Chichester Observer – Wednesday, 10 February 1915
Transcript:

SELSEY. On Tuesday evening vary successful entertainment was given at the Cinema Hall by the members the "C" Co. of the Hants, who have been quartered in the village for the past three months. Invitations were issued by the officers, N.C.O’s, and men of the Company to a large number friends, and the hall was filled to overflowing by a large and appreciative audience. All the performers acquitted themselves very well and encores were numerous. A military farce, which was composed by Cyclist Howell, member of the Company, was clever and amusing, and the characters were well sustained by his comrades in arms. Lieut. Archibald Hamilton (Hon. R.O. for Selsey and District) was among those present.
