PAVILION, SELSEY. RUTH Roman and Edmond O'Brien star in the drama, "THE SHANGHAI STORY." The story concerns a rugged young American doctor who has become disillusioned with life after spending many years in the East. He falls into the hands of the Shanghai Red police and is brutally beaten before being flung into the lobby of the Waldorf House Hotel. There he meets another group of Western-nation folk who have been ushered together to facilitate a spy hunt. Among them is the mysterious beauty, Rita King, portrayed by Ruth Roman. In "MAKE HASTE TO LIVE"' starring Dorothy McGuire, Stephen McNally, Mary Murphy and John Howard, the woman owner of a newspaper is suddenly confronted with her terrible past when her husband, a gangster sent up for a long prison term, turns up to exact his revenge. One of Mark Twain's most famous and most delightful stories. "THE MILLION POUND NOTE." has been brought to the screen for Gregory Peck's first all-British film. This Technicolor production Is set in the gay Edwardian period and concerns the adventures of a quizzical, shy and slightly-bewildered young man who suddenly finds himself presented with a bank note for £1,000,000. - - Besieged by Apache Indians in an isolated inn, a small crowd of strangely contrasted characters provide the centre of interest in "THE STAND AT APACHE RIVER." Stephen McNally portrays the relentless sheriff.
