PAVILION, SELSEY. UNIVERSAL INTERNATIONAL'S exciting story of Attila the Hun, "SIGN OF THE PAGAN," is a stirring account of the savage leader's attempt to smash the power of Rome in the year 430 A.D. With the Roman Empire split in two—one capital at Constantinople, the other in Rome—Attila, King of the Huns, solidified the barbaric nomad tribes of the north into a great fighting force. Disregarding his treaty with Rome, he sets out on one of the most savage conquests in world history—a conquest which was to write itself across the pages of history in the blood of countless thousands of innocent victims. Jack Palance is superb as Attila, and Jeff Chandler, Ludmilla Tcherina and Rita Gam are co-starred. "MAD ABOUT MEN." is a hilarious British comedy starring Glynis Johns, Donald Sinden and Margaret Rutherford. Here is the mirthful story of a delightful mermaid who leaves the ocean to spend two scintillating weeks in a charming Cornish village—two weeks spent in captivating the local population of men, for beautiful mermaid Miranda, is "mad about men." A rough and tough story of the Western gold-rush days comes to the screen in "THE YELLOW MOUNTAIN," starring Lex Barker, Mala Powers and Howard Duff. Based on the world-famous musical play, "ROSE MARIE." stars Ann Blyth, Howard Keel, Fernando Lamas, Bert Lahr, and Marjorie Main. Photographed in colour against the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies at Jasper Park in Alberta, Canada, with other sequences filmed at Mammoth Lakes, California, this is the story of a girl of the woods film, who is " tamed " by a Canadian Mountie. Ann Blyth is given her most important singing role to date as the spirited French Canadian girl, Rose Marie, who fights against her return to civilization. Among her song hits are "Indian Love Call.", "1 Have the Love.", "Song of the Mounties" and "Free to be Free."
