PAVILION, SELSEY. ZOOMING to the Pavilion, Selsey, for the first part of next week is the 20th Century Fox drama, HOUSE OF STRANGERS," in which Edward G. Robinson, Susan Hayward and Richard Conte are starred. The story is of an Italian-American family, the head of which is a banker who makes his money by lending at an extremely high rate of interest. Some fine acting by Edward G. Robinson, who plays the wealthy banker, and Richard Conte, one of the banker’s sons who becomes a lawyer and defends his father in a court case, make this good entertainment. The programme for the second part of the week comprises "BAD MEN OF TOMBSTONE," and the screen version of Robert Louis Stevenson's "KIDNAPPED." Barry Sullivan, Marjorie Reynolds and Broderick Crawford are starred in "Bad Men of Tombstone.” a film depicting the days when progress in the West was marred by ruthless gunmen who ruled the country. The screen version of Robert Louis Stevenson's famous adventure story. "Kidnapped,” stars Roddy McDowall, Sue England, Dan O'Heruhy, Roland Winters and Jeff Corey. The film closely follows the original novel, losing none of the romance which was such a feature of the book.
