PAVILION, SELSEY. FRED Astaire and Betty Hutton join forces on the screen of the Pavilion, Selsey, for the first part of the week when the gay Paramount musical “LET'S DANCE" will be showing. The story tells how Betty’s in-laws are not satisfied with the night environment in which she is bringing up her six-year-old son. The child’s father was killed during the war. Legal steps are taken and the judge orders that in 60 days Betty must find more suitable surroundings and that is where Fred Astaire steps In. The film for the rest of the week is in complete contrast. "ODETTE", starring Anna Neagle and Trevor Howard, tells the courageous story of Odette Churchill who was sent to France to “make things unpleasant for the Nazis.” There she becomes a prisoner of the Gestapo and was subject to two years’ imprisonment and torture, but to all their questions she had only one answer: have nothing to say . . .’’
