"THE IMPS." On Tuesday evening, December 31st, about 200 members and friends of the "lmps” held a New Year's dance in the Pavilion. Very good music was rendered by Mr. Jack Wakeley's Blue Diamond Band, and "Auld Lang Syne" was sung at the close, a very happy evening being spent by all. Mr. Lawrence was the able M.C. W.l. Meeting. The first meeting with the new Committee of the Women's Institute was held in the Pavilion on January 1st, when there was a good attendance at very interesting lecture on "Hundred Years of Getting About the World,” by Miss Ramsey, whom the members were very pleased to welcome. After an enjoyable tea. six members of the Girls' Friendly Society performed a one-act play, entitled "The Rest Cure.” the acting members being the Misses Stiller, Smart, Petts. Hemmings. Booker, and Fullick. The play was very amusing and the acting reflected very’ great credit on the performers’ ability.
