SELSEY CONSERVATIVE MEETING.— Under the auspices of the Selsey Conservative and Unionist Association, Major J. S. Courtauld addressed a well attended meeting in the Pavilion, Selsey, on Friday evening, prior to going to Sidlesham. Mr. E. G. Arnell presided, and was supported on the platform by Capt. E. H. Weller- Poly (the Divisional chairman), Col. W. Moore. Mrs. Goodwin. Mrs. Mathew, Mr C. Goodwin, and Mr. H. D. Ablewhite (organising secretary and agent). Major Courtauld gave an excellent address upon the Coal Bill now before Parliament, and dealt with the rapidly increasing unemployment under the Socialist Government, urging that the only cure for this was the safeguarding of industries.
