PAVILION, SELSEY' Gay and charming entertainment, "IRENE,” R.K.O. Radio’s film version of the famous stage musical comedy, which opens at the Pavilion, Selsey, on Monday, has Anna Neagle and Ray Milland at the head of a distinguished cast. Miss Neagle, noted previously for her outstanding dramatic performances, proves herself an even more capable comedienne in the sparkling production, and she and Milland both cover themselves with honour in their clever portrayals of the fiery little heroine and her wealthy admirer. "THE BLUE DAHLIA," which opens on Thursday, offers mystery fans a feast of dramatic entertainment. The fast-moving story, written specially for the principals of a superb cast, was by that ace of best-selling mystery writers, Raymond Chandler. Alan Ladd, Veronica Lake and William Bendix, who co-star, score a triumph, shared worthily by such outstanding players as Howard da Silva and Doris Dowling, both of "The Lost Week-end" fame.
