Women's Institute Meeting – Hampshire Telegraph – Friday, 08 August 1930
Transcript:

THE WOMEN'S INSTITUTE.—For the monthly meeting of the Selsey Women's Institute Mrs. Ponder had invited the members to her lovely garden at the Malthouse, but the weather was not kind, and a hurried move had to be made to the Pavilion. After the usual business, Miss M. Marshall, a Selsey member, gave a delightful talk on the life of Queen Victoria. After tea, which was given by Mrs. Ponder, guessing competitions were won by Mrs. Wilkins, Miss C. Lamb, Miss Humphry, Miss Chambers junr., and Miss Jeffs. Mrs. Maidment won a darning competition, and Mrs. Lamb one for patching.
