Film Preview - Bognor Regis Observer – Friday, 23 July 1954
Transcript:

PAVILION, SELSEY. Bud Abbott and Lou Costello don fur parkas for a comedy adventure within the far limits of the Frozen North in "LOST IN ALASKA," They are co-starred with Tom Ewell and Mitzi Green. The comics begin as firemen in San Francisco, follow a love-sick, suicidal prospector back to Alaska where he has a fortune in hidden gold, tangle with a crooked but attractive girl, and end up on the wrong end of an uproarious Arctic man-hunt with a sledge-full of booty before them and a gang of killers behind. Showing with the comedy is the colour story of "THE QUEEN IN AUSTRALIA." The main attraction for the second part of the week is the comedy hit "INNOCENTS IN PARIS." The story tells how a number of British subjects arrive in the French capital mostly on pleasure bent, but one - Alastair Sim - is there to attend an international conference and intends to keep quite sober. However, a drink of vodka which he takes in error, puts him in the mood for fun and games.
