PAVILION, SELSEY. Main feature Monday, for two days, is "NO ORCHIDS FOR MISS BLANDISH", violent story of a ruthless American gangster who kidnaps and holds to ransom the daughter of a New York millionaire. Jack La Rue, Linden Travers and Hugh McDermott are co-starred. Wednesday’s programme includes a Hal Roach comedy, "MERRILY WE LIVE" in which novelist Brian Aherne is mistaken for a tramp and employed as a butler by Constance Bennett. "THE RAKE'S PROGRESS" is to be shown on Friday and Saturday, telling the story of a charming but reckless young man who is his own worst enemy. Rex Harrison is the star.
