PAVILION, SELSEY. A FIRST-CLASS comedy-drama comes to the screen of the Pavilion, Selsey, for the first part of next week, when the attraction will be "PEOPLE WILL TALK," starring Cary Grant and Jeanne Crain. Behind the adventurous love affair of a young medical student, Deborah Higgins (Jeanne Crain) and a mysterious Dr. Praetorius (Cary Grant), there is a story of how a Professor Elwell was probing into the doctor's past. His inquiries also reveal some mysterious happenings centred around the life of the doctor's peculiar companion, a man named Shunderson (Finlay Currie). At last the professor charges Praetorius with "quackery," and the story builds to a gripping climax. For the remainder of the week, laughs are the order of the day. with the hilarious British comedy, "LAUGHTER IN PARADISE," as the attraction. Starring Alastair Sim, Fay Compton and Beatrice Campbell, with a strong supporting cast of A. E. Matthews, Guy Middleton, George Cole, Anthony Steel and Joyce Grenfell. The film tells of a strange will left by a man known during his life-time as "The Joker," and its effects on the beneficiaries. All of them have to perform deeds which are right out of keeping with their manner before they can touch a penny of the money left them.
