SELSEY. British Legion Whist Drive. In aid of their funds, the Selsey Branch of the British Legion held a whist drive at the Pavilion on Wednesday last, which turned out to be a huge success. There were 53 tables in play, and the prizes were presented by Mrs. Vince. The prize winners were :—Ladies: 1. Mrs. Fullick; 2, Miss Steele; 3, Mrs. Belcher; 4, Mrs. Lambert; 5, Mrs. Tucker; 6, Miss H. Humphrey; 7, Mrs. A. Smit ; 8, Mrs. D. A. Sayers; highest half, Mrs. Walker; hidden number, Miss Heyman; Booby, Mrs. King. Gentlemen : 1, Mr. G. Edwards; 2, Mr. J . Arnell; 3, Mr. C. Pratt; 4, Mr. Hollingdale; 5. Mr. W. Hart 6, Mr. A. Kite; 7, Mr. T. D. Cox; 8. Mr. Curd; highest half, Mr. Chambers; hidden number, Mr. C. W. Lambert; booby, Mr. P. Glew.
