PAVILION, SELSEY. "THE TURNING POINT" (Sunday and Monday) is a crime thriller starring William Holden and Edmund O'Brien. It is the story of a special commissioner's efforts to expose a powerful crime syndicate. Unfortunately, the commissioner's father is in the pay of the criminals and this complicates matters. "EMERGENCY CALL" (Tuesday and Wednesday) is a British thriller with an unusual and gripping plot. The stars are Jack Warner, Anthony Steel and Joy Shelton. The story begins when a child is dying in hospital. She needs blood blood transfusions but she is a member of a rare blood group. Eventually it is discovered there are only three people who have the right blood to save the girl's life. These are a boxer, a coloured sailor and a murderer on the run. Each have reasons for not coming forward. The feature for the rest of the week is "SCARAMOUCHE" with Stewart Granger and Eleanor Parker. The film is Sabatini's famous novel of pre-revolutionary France. When a young man of noble birth has his friend ruthlessly killed by a rich aristocrat, he determines to devote his life in seeking revenge.
