PAVILION, SELSEY. A SENSATIONAL stage success, “ARSENIC & OLD LACE” will bring hilarity to the Pavilion, Selsey, where It is to be screened for the first three days next week. The sweet little old Brewster sisters cannot bear see men grow old and lonely. Especially when a friendly glass of elderberry wine, liberally spiked with arsenic, can so quickly render the old men impervious to lonesomeness or anything else. Cary Grant, Raymond Massey, Jack Carson, Priscilla Lane and Peter Lorre star in this fantastically funny brew of murder and comedy. Music, laughs and excitement feature “A SONG IS BORN,” to be seen on Thursday for three days. Danny Kaye and Virginia Mayo are co-starred, with Hugh Herbert and a host of famous band leaders featured in the high-speed offering, which deals dramatically with a music professor's adventures with a torch singer and gang of underworld menaces.
