PAVILION, SELSEY. Murder inside a film studio and scandal on a glamour queen's doorstep are hilariously presented in "THE CORPSE CAME C.O.D.," an entertaining blend of comedy and mystery to be screened for the first three days of the week. As a star newspaper reporter George Brent is involved in a studio murder case in his efforts to keep quiet the scandal that threatens a film queen when the corpse is left on the doorstep of her mansion. Sparring partner is Joan Blondell, a reporter for a rival newspaper, who is also assigned to the story. The third of the popular "Lassie" series, "COURAGE OF LASSIE" comes on Thursday for three days. It is a simple, heart-warming story of the love between a young girl and a dog, which she finds wounded by buck-shot and nurses back to health. Elizabeth Taylor, as the girl, gives a convincing picture of her fondness for the dog- played by Lassie- and grief at its temporary loss, when Lassie becomes enrolled in the army.
