PAVILION, SELSEY. THE conflict between two brothers - of opposite ideals is the theme of NIGHT PASSAGE" starring James Stewart, Audie Murphy and Diane Foster. A 10,000 dollar railroad pay roll forms the centre-piece in this story of one man's greed and the other man's conscience. Stewart portrays the brother who is intent on safeguarding the pay roll, and Murphy is the Utica Kid, his younger brother and the second-in-command of the gang plotting to steal it. "JOHNNY DARK" is an exciting motor racing film, starring Tony Curtis. John Gregson and Belinda Lee form a captivating romantic partnership in "MIRACLE IN SOHO." John is the handsome " navvy " with an eye for the girls, and Belinda is the lovely daughter of an Italian family about to emigrate. She has to make a decision which affects the lives of the close-knit family community. The heart-warming fight of a deaf-and-dumb girl to help others as unfortunate as herself, is shown in "THE STORY OF ESTER COSTELLO." Joan Crawford is excellent as the rich American woman who takes the Irish waif under her wing and helps her to take a useful place in the world.
