STARS of the Technicolor film " DECAMERON NIGHTS." include Joan Fontaine and Louis Jourdan. while the featured cast takes in players of the calibre of Sir Godfrey Tearle, Joan Collins, Binnie Barnes, Marjorie Rhodes and the famous Bernard Brothers. In the film, three of the famous stones from Boccaccio " Decameron" have been linked together by means of an ingenious dramatic device which allows the stars to appear in several contrasting roles. The three stories are: " Paganino the Pirate, - "Wager For Virtue" and "The Doctor's Daughter". - each of which combines the twin delights of visual beauty and piquant wit. "THE STARS ARE SINGING" is a gay musical starring Rosemary Clooney and Anna Maria Alberghetti. The story concerns a 15-year - old Polish girl, Katri, who jumps ship in New York harbour and swims to Manhattan. She hides in the apartment of Jan Poldi, the friend whom she came to America to rind. She meets Terry Brennan (Rosemary Clooney), a struggling, popular singer; Buddy Fraser (Tom Morton), a dancer: and Homer Tirdell (Bob Williams). When these people discover that Katri has a magnificent singing voice, they try to exploit her to further their own interests.
